CHARLES A. ANSELL

Charles Albert Ansell, 80, died Tuesday, July 19, 1994.

Mr. Ansell, a retired elevator engineer specialist-aerospace, was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. He moved to Gainesville from Umatilla, Fla. two years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was voted Mr. Umatilla by the City of Umatilla, was a member of the Lions Club, Umatilla, Fla., the Masons, and First Presbyterian Church, Umatilla, Fla. He was a retired school crossing guard in Umatilla and a member of the School Board in South Butler County, Pa.

Survivors include three daughters, Gail L. Bernick of Portsmouth, Va., Marilyn Neste of Huntsville, Ala., and Betty J. (BJ) of Sullivan-Gainesville; four sons, Charles W. Ansell of Miami, Fla., Edward J. Ansell of Sharpes, Fla., Phillip N. Ansell of Madison, Fla., James T. Ansell of Palm Bay, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Ansell, in 1991 and his son, Ronald W. Ansell.
