Mary Ellis Guthrie Pyle, 82, of Virginia Beach, a retired executive secretary for the Oklahoma State Senate, died July 20, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Pyle, a native of Burnet County, Texas, was the widow of Louis Wendell Pyle. She had retired after 40 years of service.
Survivors include a son, Roger Gail Pyle and his wife, Alice, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. Romans Guthrie O'Hair of Lampasas, Texas; two grandchildren, Dr. Pamela Gail Pyle and Allen Louis Pyle; and one great-grandchild, Nathan Andrew Pyle.
Mrs. Pyle was sent to the Hahn-Cook-Street and Draper Funeral Home, 6006 N. Grand St., Oklahoma City, Okla., for a funeral service and burial on Saturday. Information was provided by H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
