Nellie Elizabeth Wilder Simpson, 69, of the 3500 block of Thomas St., died July 20, 1994, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Simpson was born in St. Petersburg, Fla., and was the widow of John C. Simpson. She was a member of First Lutheran Church; Women of the Moose; and was active in Girl Scouts of America.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra S. Ogletree of Norfolk and Connie H. Dillon of Reno, Nev.; two sons, Robert Paul Harrison of Chesapeake and John Patrick Harrison of Norfolk; three sisters, Eunice W. Remington and Emily W. Warrell, both of Virginia Beach, and Elsie W. Delane of W. Barnstable, Mass.; a close friend, C. Meade Schucker; grandchildren, Erica and Melissa Harrison, Jeffery, Lance and Beverly Ogletree and Michael, Shawn and Brandi Dillon; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Marshall Mauney. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
