HORACE MABRY

Horace ``Bob'' Mabry, 76, of the 800 block of First Colonial Road, died July 19, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Mabry was born in Greenville, Texas, and was a Baptist. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer after 20 years and was also a retired civil service superintendent of ships in Newport News. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a Mason and a member of Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)60.

Survivors include his wife, Odette E. Mabry; a daughter, Dolores A. Martin of Pekin, Ill.; two sons, Bob Mabry of Virginia Beach and Glen L. Mabry of Dallas; a sister, Martha Herndon of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Pastor Jess Jackson. A Fleet Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, where the family will remain until 8 p.m. to greet friends.
