Leland Elmore White, 34, of Backwoods Road, died Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at his residence.
Mr. White was a heavy equipment mechanic and owner of Leland White Repair and an auctioneer. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Virginia Auctioneer Association.
Survivors include his father, Eugene T. White Jr.; his mother, Carolyn Parker White; a brother, E.T. White III; a sister-in-law, Celia White; and three nephews, Gregory, Jordan and Aaron White, all of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 2p.m. today in Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, with the Rev. Harry Vanderford officiating. Burial will be in Nowell & White Family Cemetery, Belvidere, N.C. The family will receive friends at the home of Celia and E.T. White III, 1041 Ballahack Road, Chesapeake.
