Richard Irving ``Buck'' Sanford, 75, of the 100 block of Thompson St., died Wednesday, July 20, 1994, in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
Mr. Sanford was a native of Bertie County, a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and a retired millwright with Thompson & Co.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cooper Sanford; four brothers, Linwood G. Sanford and Harvey R. Sanford, both of Windsor, George E. Sanford and Jesse H. Sanford, both of Norfolk; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Edgewood Baptist Church by the Rev. Chris Lee. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
