DEEP CREEK BOROUGH

(Including the Great Dismal Swamp)

Major case, 4000 block of Holly Cove. The victim, who was approached by two black males, demanded his cassette tape back from one of the males. The first male then waved a small handgun in the victim's face and told the victim he wasn't getting the tape back. Both suspects began hitting the victim. July 5.

Petty larceny, 400 block of George Washington Highway. Missing: a June 1995 Virginia State inspection sticker. July 4 or 5.

Petty larceny, 2900 S. Military Highway. Missing: pickup truck bed to a C-20 Chevy and two gas tanks. July 2 to July 5.

Residential burglary, 2000 block of Battery Park Road. Missing: wallet. July 6 or 7.

Grand larceny, 1200 block of Tavis Court. Missing: Sony compact disk player and 25 compact disks. July 6.

Strong-arm robbery, 1100 block of Chesapeake Avenue. The suspect approached the victim, pushed him off his bicycle and rode off with the bike. Suspect is described as a black male, 6'1,'' 200 pounds, wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a white hat. July 9.

Residential burglary, 1100 block of Commerce Ave. Missing: Panasonic answering machine, compact disks, coins and tennis shoes. July 5.

Armed robbery, 1341 Kempsville Road. The suspect entered the store and placed bubble gum on the counter. When the register was opened, the suspect lunged at the clerk with a dagger-type knife. The suspect took the money from the cash register drawer and fled. Suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, 25 to 35 years old. July 12.

Commercial burglary, 820 Live Oak Drive, American Storage. Missing: green and silver, 12-speed bicycle. July 8.

Major case, Super 8 Motel at 3216 Churchland Blvd. Three black males rushed from behind the motel. One male struck the victim over the head with a beer bottle and another grabbed the victim's purse. July 5.

Commercial burglary, Western Branch Middle School, 4201 Hawksley Drive. Missing: two team banners and a Pioneer CS-C40 3-way speaker. July 1 to July 5.

Commercial burglary, Southwestern Elementary School, 4410 Airline Blvd. Missing: Advance vacuum cleaner, Model No. 323002, serial number 495820. July 6 or 7.
