There were several double winners when Deep Creek High made the annual athletic awards presentations.
Keion Smith was named most outstanding on offense for football and most consistent on offense for baseball. Randy Snodgrass was selected most valuable player for the boys cross country team and also took the scholastic excellence award for wrestling.
Michelle Boyd and Nichole Langley were double winners in girls basketball and track. Boyd was judged best all around and Langley took the offensive award for the hoop team. In track, Boyd was chosen most outstanding while Langley was voted most valuable.
Lawrence Claiborne and Dee Harrell also captured two awards each. Claiborne was most valuable player and Harrell was most improved in both boys indoor and outdoor track.

Boys basketball - Cameron Perkins, most valuable player; Matt Bryant, leading scorer; Ron Bartley, hustle award.
Girls basketball - Michelle Boyd, best all around player; Nichole Langley, offensive award; Tennille Smith, most valuable player.
Boys tennis - Ryan Gauthier, outstanding player; Neil Applewhite, most valuable player.
Girls tennis - Kim James, most valuable player; Beth Allison, most improved player.
Boys soccer - Andre Gomez, most outstanding player; Kevin Klewer, most improved player.
Girls soccer - Myra Maglalang, most outstanding; LaQuinnta Sutton, most improved.
Boys indoor track - Lawrence Claiborne, most valuable runner; Dee Harrell, most improved runner; Chad England, most outstanding freshman.
Girls winter track - Afreeka Hardison, most valuable player; Sherry Sutton, most dedicated; Latarisha Ward, most improved.
Boys track - Lawrence Claiborne and Jason Waters, co-most valuable players; James Crocker, most outstanding senior; Dee Harrell, most improved.
