MUST OUR PRESIDENT BEG?

While I have never expected great things from Bill Clinton and his marauding band, it seems he has truly hit bottom.

One can picture the man and his supporters, squeegees in hand, harassing terrified motorists until they squeeze a few coins out of barely open car windows.

It is ironic that the Clintons, who've gone out of their way to vilify medical professionals, cannot afford legal coverage. Am I the only person who is concerned that the top executive of the country has to take up a collection to afford competent legal counsel?

If there is really a crisis in this country, it is in the legal profession. No other trade is as unaccountable, especially in Virginia where judges are selected for political ties rather than legal acumen. And who else but lawyers, posing as representatives, could have devised such a hostile environment as to damage entire industries, such as private aviation, and, not incidentally, the medical profession?

It's hardly surprising that the president's wife's health plan has little if any tort reform in it. She is, after all, a lawyer. She'll need something to fall back on after '96.
