Charles Leslie Hare Jr., 28, of the 3300 block of Winchester Drive, a roofer, died July 21, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Hare, a native of Portsmouth, was employed with W.L. Pope Construction Co., Portsmouth. He was a member of West End United Meth-odist Church in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his mother, Jamie Degler Hare of Portsmouth; his father, Charles Leslie Hare Sr. of Chesapeake; a brother, Terry Glenn Hare of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Morris Degler of Portsmouth; an aunt, Geneva Chubbuck of Twinsburg, Ohio; and his friend and boss, William Pittman of Portsmouth.
He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Robert E. Hawkins. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
