A 22-year-old man died of gunshot wounds Wednesday night after he was shot in the 100 block of Lexington Drive, ran several blocks and collapsed.
Eric D. Devine of the 1000 block of Blair St. was found at 12 Lexington Drive by police after a telephone call alerted them.
Devine was pronounced dead at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital at 11:40 p.m.
He was an employee of Republic Portsmouth Storage on Duke Street in Portsmouth.
Police spokesman G.A. Brown said investigators have no motive or suspects in the slaying. Brown urged anyone with information to call Crime Line at 488-7777.
