Two Norfolk Navy ships will participate in Breeze 94, a multinational humanitarian aid and peacekeeping exercise in the Black Sea, the Pentagon said Thursday.
The ships are the Norfolk-based destroyer Deyo and the salvage ship Grapple, based at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base.
The exercise, from July 25 to 28, will also include ships from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine as well as an observer team from the republic of Georgia.
The scenario for the exercise involves the escort of a convoy providing humanitarian aid. by CNB
