A woman shopping in a grocery store Tuesday was fondled by a man who detectives believe may be responsible for sexually assaulting more women, and police are asking other possible victims to come forward.
On Wednesday, police arrested Michael D. Maas, 23, of the 100 block of Saw Grass Bend, on suspicion of fondling the 25-year-old woman while she was shopping at a store in the 1600 block of General Booth Blvd. Maas was released on $500 bail.
Detectives would not say what led them to Maas or why they believe he has committed other similar crimes.
Detective D.J. Pauly is asking anyone who believes she was assaulted by Maas to call him at 427-4101. Anyone with information about Maas can also call Pauly, or Crime Solvers at 427-0000. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
