Like your paper and others, many of us kept asking, ``What is Nauticus?'' After taking a tour with City Manager Jim Oliver, I believe anyone who has been critical of Nauticus will do a reversal after seeing and participating in what Nauticus has to offer.
Our new National Maritime Center is something everyone should see and revisit, for it is nearly impossible to see and take part in what it has to offer in a day's visit. Like Disney's Epcot in Orlando, it is exciting, highly interesting and very educational.
The school systems should require every child to spend a day at Nauticus. A special price should be allowed for all students, including children vacationing at Virginia Beach.
Nauticus is first-class. If you have not paid the facility a leisurely visit, don't miss it.
