Name change for Tracks: Tracks, the music store chain owned by Blockbuster Entertainment, will receive a new identity next month. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based parent company will convert its Tracks stores to the Blockbuster Music name by mid-August. The stores will also be remodeled to include a listening center where customers can listen to any compact disc in stock with no obligation to buy. Other music retailers, like Planet Music and Birdland, an independent Virginia Beach retailer, offer CD listening areas. Blockbuster will convert 14 stores in Virginia, including 10 in Hampton Roads. It plans to open 100 new Blockbuster Music stores nationwide this year. - Staff report
