Anthony Samuel Jones, Sr., of the 700 block of Chapel St., a disabled laborer, died July 14, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Jones was born in Norfolk, a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, an Air Force veteran and the widower of Olia V. Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia R. Wilson of Ewa, Hawaii, and Sandy Braswell of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a son, Anthony S. Jones, Jr., of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; his mother, Fannie McCoy Jones of Norfolk; three sisters, Margaret J. Church of Virginia Beach, Virginia Griggs of Norfolk and Alma Jones-Davis of Portsmouth; three brothers, Aleander J. Jones, Jr., and Phillip L. Jones, Sr., both of Philadelphia, Pa., and Bernard D. Jones of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; an uncle, Walker McCoy of Bronx, N.Y.; and other relatives and freinds.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Marys Catholic Church, Norfolk, by Father John J. Dorgan. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The body will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Monday. The family will assemble at 514 Georgia Ave., at noon for the processional.
