J. Louise Tiesenga, 88, died July 23, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.
She was a native of Lapear, Mich., and the widow of Sidney S. Tiesenga. She lived in Holland, Michigan, from 1932 until coming to Portsmouth one and one half years ago to be near her son and his family.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Sidney W. Tiesenga, and daughter-in-law, Gail L. Tiesenga of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Anne L. Hooper of Durham, N.C., and Jennifer Tiesenga and Elizabeth Tiesenga, both of Portsmouth; and one great-grandchild, Lauren Grace Hooper.
The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hope Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
