Margaret J. Walsh, 100, of the 700 block of Beaver Dam Road, died Thursday in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Walsh was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Johanna Callahan McLaughlin. Mrs. Walsh was the widow of Francis John Walsh and was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church. She was a member of First Seniors, South Norfolk; Senior Citizens, Great Bridge; Cambridge Square Senior Citizens; the Niners; and a charter member of the Indian River Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one son, Edward Leroy Walsh of Oil City, Pennsylvania; twenty grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Hickory United Methodist Church by the Rev. Tom Mercer with burial in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge on Sunday from 7-8 p.m.
