Loretta Y. Baines, 47, of the 5800 block of Bernhowe Manor, a supply clerk, died July 21, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Baines was born in Norfolk and was employed by the Naval Supply Center for 18 years. She was a member of First Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth, and the Gospel Choir.
Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Baines Sr.; two daughters, Angela Baines and Tausha Baines; a son, Paul D. Baines Jr.; her mother, Marie Young; two sisters, Carolyn Uzzle and Beverly Jones; four brothers, James Young Jr., Clayton Young, Rodney Young and Steven Young; a granddaughter, Chasity Baines; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1st Baptist Church Elm Avenue, Portsmouth, by Pastor E.L. Woodard. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the residence to receive friends.
