LEO V. SIMON JR.

Leo V. ``Vic'' Simon Jr., 55, of the 1200 block of Nesbitt Drive, died July 23, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Simon was born in Franklin, Va., employed by Southern Sanitary Company, and was a Methodist. He served in the Air Force, the Navy Reserve and the Virginia National Guard and was a former cadet captain in the Civil Air Patrol. He was a licensed pilot, holding commercial, multi-engine and instrument ratings. He was a member of the Aircraft Owner & Pilots Association and the Air Transportation and Safety Board.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie W. Simon; two sons, Kenneth David Simon and Donald Scott Simon, both of Virginia Beach; his father, Leo Victor Simon Sr., of Chesapeake; two sisters, Susan S. Winfree of Virginia Beach and Cynthia S. Bray of Chesapeake; a brother, Stephen A. Simon of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren, Bailey Ann Simon and Jamie Nichole Simon, both of Virginia Beach. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Anne Simon, and his mother, Georgie Piland Simon.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Joe Williams. The family will be at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
