WRECK KILLS 1, INJURES 4

One woman was killed and four other people were injured in a three-car hit-and-run accident Saturday night.

Police still are piecing together what they called a ``bizarre'' accident that occurred about 11:10 p.m. A Maxima and a Nissan 280Z or 300Z were traveling northbound in the 7000 block of Granby St. when one car struck the other. The Nissan then collided with a third car, a 1983 Audi. After the first collision, the Maxima ran into a telephone pole. The driver of the Nissan sped away. A female passenger in the Maxima was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she died at 4:10 a.m. The driver, Douglas Page of the 1400 block of Bay Chester Ave. in Norfolk, was treated at Sentara Norfolk General and later released. The Audi passengers, Earl T. Royster, 39, of the 3200 block of Bapaume Ave. in Norfolk and Monica Fuller, 25, of the 700 block of West 37th St. in Norfolk, were treated at DePaul Medical Center and released.

Both the Maxima and Audi were badly damaged.

Police are looking for a white Nissan 280 or 300ZX with damage to the right front fender, headlight and hood.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Line at 441-5100.
