Elizabeth Johnson Waldo, 82, of the 5000 block of Holly Road, a retired school teacher, died July 26, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Waldo was born in Norfolk County and was the widow of William Joseph Waldo. She was retired after 20 years of service and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Altar Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth W. Laine of Chesapeake; a son, William J. Waldo of Lakeside, Ariz.; a sister, Nell J. Bryant; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in St. John's Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Brian Hobden. The family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Waldo Family Lecture Series, ODU, Norfolk, Va. 23529-0018.
