HAZEL A. BOOTH

Hazel A. Booth, 100, of the 1900 block of Green St., died July 25, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

Mrs. Booth was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of Lee G. Booth Sr. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Portsmouth, was the Church Mother and the last member of the original church. She was also a member of the Maggie Brown Bible Class, a Missionary and a former member of the Senior Choir.

Survivors include a son, Lee G. Booth Jr.; a nephew, Ollie A. Lassiter; and a daughter-in-law, Ethel Booth, all of Portsmouth.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by Dr. C.J. Freeman. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
