Josephine Storminger King, 69, of the 5100 block of Janet Drive in Indian Lakes, died July 26, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. King was born in Cumberland, Md., and was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, and was a former member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Newport News. She was a volunteer for Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, James R. King; three daughters, Carol Ann Sprangers of Virginia Beach, Margaruite Cooper and Patricia Ganzert, both of Richmond, Va.; five sons, William D. King, Rudolph J. King, Michael R. King, all of Virginia Beach, Robert S. King and James M. King, both of Norfolk; her mother, Margaruite Doyle Storminger of Virginia Beach; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Joseph Facura and Sem. Patrick Golden. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. A Christian wake service will be held this evening at 7 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with visitation following until 9 p.m. The family may be contacted at 5113 Janet Drive at other times.
Memorial donations may be made to Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad and Princess Anne Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad of Virginia Beach or the American Cancer Society in memory of her.
