CHARLES D. WALKER

Charles Donavan Walker, 69, of the 300 block of Naval Base Road, a retired civil service employee, died July 25, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Walker was born in Rock Port, Mo. He was retired from the Public Works Center at the Norfolk Naval Base. He served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years and was an EMC (SS). He was a member of the U.S. Navy Armed Guard and Fleet Reserve Association.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Burgess Walker; three daughters, Rosemary Jones of Baltimore, Bettye Vaughan of Franklin and Jettie Grover of Moyock, N.C.; a son, James A. Williams of Chesapeake; a sister, Mary Heflin of Aurora, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.

The funeral will be private. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
