SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed below were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only, and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges. DISTRICT A

Throwing missiles at motor vehicle: Town Point Road and Miles Avenue, July 13, a man reported that two juveniles threw rocks at a Caterpillar front-end loader, breaking the windshield.

House breaking and entering: 6000 block College Drive, July 14, someone broke a window and took two VCRs valued at $549, a Realistic CD player worth $149, CDs valued at $300 and an answering machine costing $89.

House breaking and entering: 6000 block College Drive, July 15, a woman reported that someone broke into her home through the front door.

Grand theft auto: 3800 block Pughsville Road, July 16, a man said that a juvenile took his car.

Simple assault: 4600 block Hardy Drive, July 17, a complainant reported that a man threatened someone.

Threatening bodily harm: 4600 block Hardy Drive, July 17, a man reported that a suspect threatened him with a knife.

Possession of cocaine: 3400 block Bridge Road, July 17, police found a substance believed to be cocaine during a search.

Concealed weapon: 3400 block Bridge Road, July 18, police found a gun during a search.

Possession of marijuana: 3400 block Bridge Road, July 18, police found a substance believed to be marijuana during a search.

Petty larceny: 5500 block Oriole Road, July 19, a man reported that a suspect took the license tag from his car.

Grand larceny: 6400 block Town Point Road, July 19, a woman reported that someone took a Weathertron heat pump. DISTRICT B

Business breaking and entering: 4600 block Girl Scout Road, July 13, someone broke a window with a cinder block.

Petty larceny: 1 QVC Drive, July 13, a woman reported that her license plate was stolen.

Strong-arm robbery: 6600 block Everets Road, July 15, a suspect hit a man on the head with a beer bottle and took $140.

Business breaking and entering: 500 block Kings Fork Road, July 17, someone entered a second-story window, causing $50 in damage. DISTRICT C

Business breaking and entering: 1800 block Pitchkettle Road, July 13, someone broke a window and took $50 from a cash register and 12 packs of cigarettes, valued at $50.

Business breaking and entering: 300 block West Constance Road, July 13, someone took $575 in cash.

Threatening to burn residence: 200 block Chestnut St., July 14, a woman reported that a suspect threatened to burn her house because she would not talk to him.

Grand larceny: 100 block Saratoga Road, July 14, someone took an AM/FM Pioneer cassette player valued at $280 from a vehicle.

House breaking and entering: 200 block Chestnut St., July 15, a woman said that a suspect cut her waterbed and a phone receiver.

Residential breaking and entering: 600 block Jones St., July 15, someone took $150, a silver candelabra and a box of baseball cards.

Attempted residential breaking and entering: 200 block Military Road, July 15, someone attempted to pry open a door.

Assault and battery: 100 block Mahan St., July 15, two suspects threw a man down and kicked him.

Vandalism: 300 block Lake Drive, July 15, someone threw eggs and sprayed shaving cream on a car.

Vandalism: 200 block Locust St., July 16, a man reported that someone hit his car.

Felonious assault: 100 block Chestnut St., July 16, two male suspects put a gun to the complainant's head. The complainant fled and was shot in the leg.

Petty larceny: 1900 block North Main St., July 17, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Lost or stolen tag: 1200 block North Main St., July 17, someone took a license plate from a vehicle.

Felonious assault: 400 block Wilson St., July 17, a man reported that a suspect hit him on the head three times with a car jack after the victim attempted to break up a fight between the suspect and another person.

Vandalism: 400 block Market St., July 18, someone damaged the windshield and front quarter panel of a car.

Tampering with a motor vehicle: 400 block Chestnut St., July 18, someone entered a vehicle and tampered with the dashboard.

Petty larceny: 1200 block North Main St., July 18, a man reported seeing a suspect put six cartons of cigarettes valued at $14.18 each in her purse.

Petty larceny: 400 block Chestnut St., July 18, someone took an Alpine AM/FM cassette player from a vehicle.

Grand larceny: 200 block Chestnut St., July 18, someone took a Kenwood equalizer, an AM/FM cassette player and a Pyramid power amp, valued at $750, from a vehicle.

Residential breaking and entering: 300 block West Washington St., July 18, someone entered an apartment and took numerous items valued at $2,500.

Residential breaking and entering: 800 block Lincoln Ave., July 19, someone forced open a window and took a 19-inch Sony color TV, a Baby Lock Serger sewing machine, two living room mirrors, an Oriental rug, a microwave oven, a vacuum cleaner, a trench coat and $269 in food stamps.

Petty larceny: 100 block Bosley Ave., July 19, someone took a Eureka World vacuum cleaner.

Petty larceny: 1700 block North Main St., July 19, someone broke a car window and took an AM/FM tape player.

Petty larceny: 200 block Clay St., July 19, someone took $25 from a glass vase. DISTRICT D

Vandalism: 200 block Walnut St., July 13, someone broke a cafeteria and classroom windows.

Petty larceny: 300 block Pinner St., July 14, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 300 block Baker St., July 15, someone broke a window.

Petty larceny: 300 block Goodman St., July 15, a man said his Social Security check was stolen and cashed.

Third offense petty larceny: 500 block Constance Road, July 15, a woman took four cans of body spray and five containers of deodorant, valued at $23.

Vandalism: 700 block Spruce St., July 15, a juvenile threw a bicycle rim at a window.

Hit and run: 1200 block Portsmouth Blvd., July 16, a man reported that his car was struck from the rear.

Hit and run: 200 block Locust St., July 16, a man reported that his vehicle was struck from the rear.

Grand larceny: 300 block Hill St., July 16, a man reported that someone entered his apartment and took a white Styrofoam cooler and assorted tools.

Attempted grand larceny auto: 400 block South Main St., July 16, a woman reported that someone attempted to take her vehicle.

Grand larceny: 1200 block Sierra Drive, July 16, someone took a boxer-pit bull mix.

Hit and run: Morgan Street and Hall Avenue, July 16, a driver lost control of his vehicle, hit a utility pole, jumped out and ran.

Assault and battery: 2200 block East Washington St., July 16, a woman reported that a juvenile threw a stick at her, striking her in the leg.

Assault and battery: 400 block East Washington St., July 16, a complainant said a man hit her in the face and kicked her on the back while she was on the ground.

Arson: 1100 block Nansemond Parkway, July 16, someone burned a welcome wreath hanging on a door.

Petty larceny: 500 block East Constance Road, July 17, someone took $20 worth of meat.

Possession of marijuana: Spruce Street and Van Buren Avenue, July 17, police found a substance believed to be marijuana during a search.

Vandalism: 2200 block East Washington St., July 17, someone cut a four-inch gash in a tire.

Grand larceny: 1200 block White Marsh Road, July 17, a man left his 10-speed bicycle with a suspect to

store for safekeeping and has not been able to locate the suspect or the bicycle since.

Possession of cocaine: 400 block East Washington St., July 17, police arrested a woman for possession of cocaine.

Throwing missiles into occupied dwelling: 100 block Nancy Drive, July 17, a woman said that a suspect threw a beer bottle through a window.

Petty larceny: 700 block Dover Court, July 17, someone took a Kraco radio and a wallet from a vehicle.

Petty larceny: 400 block York St., July 17, a woman reported that a suspect took $150 in cash from a chest in her bedroom.

Petty larceny: 400 block North Main St., July 17, a man put two cans of cat food in his pockets and left a store without paying.

Breaking and entering: 1100 block Cogic Square, July 18, someone entered a home through the front door and took a DAE color TV, a 13-inch Tibachi color TV and a Montgomery Ward microwave, valued at $575.

Felonious assault: Country and Baker streets, July 18, a man reported that a suspect cut his face and stabbed him in the chest after a verbal altercation.

Residential breaking and entering: 100 block Maple St., July 18, someone took a Magnavox CD player, a Sears microwave, a Yamaha receiver, a Yamaha record player, a Sony Walkman, a Sears phone and an AT&T answering machine, valued at $2,000.

Grand larceny: 500 block South Main St., July 18, someone took a Coleman generator.

Grand larceny: 500 block Highland Ave., July 18, someone took a Demco tow dolly.

Armed robbery: East Washington and Lloyd streets, July 18, a man reported that a suspect robbed him at gunpoint of $185.

Grand larceny: 300 block Cedar St., July 19, someone took a Sony AM/FM cassette radio, a CD attachment and an African cane - about 40 inches long with three heads - from a vehicle.

Petty larceny: 100 block South Tenth St., July 19, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle. DISTRICT E

Grand larceny: 9900 block South Quay Road, July 17, someone took a window air conditioner.

Hit and run: Route 58 and Leafwood Road, July 18, a vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer tanker.

Vandalism: 9300 block Southwestern Blvd., July 18, a man said that someone shot through a shed window, causing $25 in damage. DISTRICT F

Petty larceny: 1100 block Carolina Road, July 18, someone pumped $8.53 worth of gas without paying. by CNB
