BARBARA A. STEPHENS

Barbara Ann Stephens, 34, of the 1300 block of Eisenhower Circle, died July 25, 1994, in Walter Reed Army Medical Center after a long illness.

A native of Southampton County, Va., she was the daughter of William Fred Denson Sr. and Louise W. Denson. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, Capron, Va.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Maj. Roger Stephens, U.S. Marine Corps; two daughters, Tunisia Stephens and Chiquita Stephens; one godson, Hanzelle Shumpert; two brothers, William Denson Jr. and Earl Denson; three sisters, Carolyn Denson, Lena Denson and Essie Eure; one foster brother, Eugene Ford; and one godbrother, Harlius J. Adams.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Mars Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. A.L. Felton. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
