Mary Murray Clifton, 78, of the 4100 block of Scott St., died July 27, 1994, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Clifton, a native of Portsmouth, was the widow of William D. Clifton. She was a member of Maryview Ladies Auxiliary and was a Red Cross volunteer.
Survivors include one daughter, Dianna C. Edwards of Portsmouth; two sisters, Alice Malone of Newport News and Anastasia Clifton of California; a brother, Joseph Murray of Newport News; two grandsons, Michael W. Edwards and Daniel E. Edwards, both of Portsmouth; and a great-granddaughter, Brook Caitlyn Edwards.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and other times at 79 Wyoming Ave., Portsmouth.
