Kenneth Whitehead, 44, died July 17, 1994, in Houston.
A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Fantroyal and Bertha Mabry Whitehead. He was employed as a longshoreman at Fort Myers Beach, Fla., for 24 years. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Kenneth Whitehead Jr. and one daughter, Theresa Whitehead, both of Freeport, Texas; and three sisters, Hyle Burgess, Shelia Whitehead and Linda Whitehead, all of Jersey City, N.J.
A funeral will be will conducted at noon Saturday in Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Roosevelt Harmon. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin.
