Lauretta Ann ``Mickey'' Day of the 1400 block of Lake Geneve Drive, a former bookkeeper, died July 27, 1994.
Mrs. Day was born in Newark, N.J., daughter of Florence B. Ruffin of Newark and the late Daniel Ruffin Jr. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Newark.
Survivors include her husband, Derrick Day; a sister, Florence M. Harrison of Antigua, West Indies; two brothers, LaMont E. Blount Sr. and Daniel Ruffin III, both of Newark; maternal grandmother, Lauretta Verdier of Newark; her mother-in-law, Shirley A. Day; four aunts and four uncles. She was predeceased by two brothers, LeRoy E. Blount and Lawrence Blount.
Viewing will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk. The remains will be taken to Newark for the funeral and burial.
