JOHN E. HICKMAN

John Elbert Hickman, 67, of the 4100 block of First St., died Tuesday in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mr. Hickman was born in New York City and had retired from Lone Star Industries, Chesapeake. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the husband of Jane Bordeaux Hickman.

Other survivors are a daughter, Shirley Duren of Norfolk; two sons, Lee Hickman and Johnnie Hickman, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mildred Keegan and Arlene Shebella, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one brother, Robert J. Hickman of Chesapeake.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
