CHARLES G. SCHMID

Charles G. Schmid, 85, died Wednesday, July 27, 1994.

He was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a Peninsula resident since 1956. Mr. Schmid retired from Yorktown Naval Weapons Station as an engineer in 1975 after 21 years of service. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. He was a member and past master of the William J. McMahon Masonic Lodge (NU)303 and a member of the Warwick Day Masonic Lodge (NU)336.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce C. Schmid of Newport News and Diane S. Teachey of Chesapeake; two sons, Warren W. Schmid of Hampton and Charles G. Schmid of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park with Masonic rites at the grave.
