Farine Chitty Wolff, 86, a retired salesperson, died July 28, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Wolff was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., and had lived in Norfolk for many years from the 1940s through the 1960s. She was retired from Bocock Stroud and had also worked at Rices at Wards Corner. She was a member of Calvary Moravian Church in Winston-Salem and a former member of Norview Baptist Church. She was the widow of Volney L. Wolff.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennie W. Bryant of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Belinda G. Hill of Virginia Beach; three grandsons, Lee Hill of Newport News, Lewis Hill of Norfolk and Andy Hill of Knotts Island, N.C.; two sisters, Lou M. Robertson of Winston-Salem and Patricia Cleary of Archdale, N.C.; and a brother, Jack E. Chetty of Cleveland, Ohio.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Warren Chapman. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
