John Lee Edmonds, 33, of the 700 block of Huntley Drive, died Wednesday at his residence.
Mr. Edmonds was born in Portsmouth. He was the son of John J. Edmonds of Portsmouth and the late Alice White Edmonds. He was the husband of Patrica Ann Edmonds. He had been a special police officer with the Portsmouth Police Department for eight years.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge, with Chaplain Mark Karika officiating. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at 804 Pine Level Lane, Chesapeake.
