LOOK AT THE RECORD

I was very disappointed in the irresponsibility of your editorials of May 16 and July 3. They showed a lack of knowledge of local environmental issues in general and in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in particular.

The CBF is an educational organization (rather than a pressure group) whose efforts are focused on saving the Chesapeake Bay, one of our nation's greatest assets. It believes that environmental and economic interests can co-exist, and to the benefit of both groups.

The writer of these editorials should do some research on the policies and the record of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
