HOORAY FOR TIDEWATER WINDS BEATING THE DOLDRUMS

Put the Aug. 5 Tidewater Winds concert at Willett Hall on your calendar.

A free concert last week benefited the new Children's Museum of Virginia. At the upcoming concert the hat will be passed by Merrimac Kiwanians for the Lancaster Memorial Chapel at the Bon Secours Maryview Nursing Care Center.

The virtues of Willett Hall are not lost on Tidewater Winds director Sidney Berg, who calls Willett the best concert hall in the region. The group, supported by grants from a variety of area arts organizations and businesses, enjoys playing in the hall and always presents a wonderful program of all kinds of music - marches, golden oldies, light classics, something for everybody to enjoy.

Next Friday night with the Tidewater Winds will be the perfect ending for a humdrum summer week. And it's free! by CNB
