The second annual Iron Dukes Golf Classic is slated for the Suffolk Golf Course on Aug. 4, beginning at 8 a.m. The format will be four-man best ball and there is a limit of 30 teams.
Entry fees are $30 per person or $200 per team, which includes greens fees, cart and luncheon. Proceeds will go to the Windsor High football program.
``Last year there were only six teams, but this year we already have 12 teams and we may have as many as 15,'' new Windsor High football coach Tommy Austin said.
Austin said there would be prizes for the longest drive on certain holes and for closest to the pin on par 3 holes. For more information, call Austin at 539-2676.
SWIM SCORE: The Smithfield Dolphins defeated Elizabeth Manor, 264-218, in a swim meet at the Smithfield Swim Pool on July 23. Ed Daniels is the Dolphins' coach.
MEETINGS SLATED: Suffolk's Parks and Recreation Department have scheduled several meetings for its fall programming. All meetings will be at Birdsong Recreation Center, 301 N. Main St.
The dates and times are: coed volleyball, Tuesday at 7 p.m.; coed softball, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.; industrial basketball, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m.; fall softball, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m.

FOOTBALL CAMPS OPENS: A football camp for youngsters aged nine through 12 at Lakeland High begins Monday and ends Friday. Edward Smither will direct the camp, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
Franklin High also will host a camp for players from rising fourth graders through rising seniors Monday through Wednesday.
Younger athletes, designated Broncos, will go from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Older players - rising eighth graders and up - will attend a special linemen's session from 10:30 to noon each day.
