Ellen Beale Smith of the 32000 block of Fork Of The River Road, a retired cook, died July 28, 1994, in her residence.
She was a native of Southampton County, Va., retired from Airway Restaurant and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Franklin.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert E. Smith, Sr.; two daughters, Janice Tucker of Kansas City, Kan., and Marjorie Smith of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Marie Whitehead of Portsmouth; three brothers, Willie Beale and Crawley Beale of Franklin and Butler Beale of Maine; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Oak Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Roosevelt Harmon, Jr. Burial will be in Diamond Grove Church Cemetery. William M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements. The remains will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m.
