EDWARD E. HUDGINS

Edward Earl Hudgins, age 55, died Saturday, July 30, 1994. He was a native and a lifelong resident of Mathews. He was a member of the Oriental Lodge (NU)20 A.F. and A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Newport News, Khedive Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Norfolk, Norfolk Court (NU)75 Royal Order of Jesters, Moose Lodge of Gloucester, and he was past president of Tidewater Shrine Club. He was a Line Inspector for GTE for 38 years. He was a member of Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church, Cobbs Creek.

Survived by: Wife - Patricia B. Hudgins; One daughter - Susan P. Hudgins of Zanoni; Father - Captain Horace E. Hudgins of Hallieford.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Robert Justis and Marion Paul White officiating.

Burial will follow in the Haynes Cemetery, Cobbs Creek, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, with Masonic services to be conducted at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, VA 23513, and/or Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, Mathews, VA 23109.
