Virginia Minter Johnston, 81, of the 5400 block of Glenhaven Crescent, died July 30, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Norfolk. She retired from Old Dominion University as secretary to the Board of Visitors after 15 years. She was a member of Larchmont United Methodist Church and was formerly the church secretary for 12 years. She was a member of Silver Cross Circle of Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and Chapter Q of the International Chapter P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Survivors include her husband, Clemmer ``C.A.'' A. Johnston; a daughter, Ruth ``Penny'' P. Griffith of Margate, Fla.; a son, Richard W. Johnston of New York City; a sister, Ruth M. Poliquin of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Larchmont United Methodist Church by Dr. Lewis H. Morgan. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
