George Wesley Weller Sr., 80, of the 5600 block of Tidewater Drive, a lifelong resident of Norfolk and a retired contractor, died July 30, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Weller retired as owner of Weller Co. Painting and Decorating. He was a member of Norview Presbyterian Church, Charity Lodge (NU)10 Knights of Pythias and Ziyard Temple (NU)228.
Survivors include his wife, Doris K. Weller; two sons, George W. Weller Jr. and Milton E. Weller, both of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Sarah W. Parsons and Wealtha W. Woodard, both of Norfolk, and Mary W. Allen of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Robert E. Weller of San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Norview Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Susan Soloman and the Rev. Clyde Johnson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Contributions can be made to Norview Presbyterian Church.
