Nellie R. Thomas, 80, of the 800 block of Cumberland St., died July 26, 1994, in her home.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Denver, Va. She had been a domestic worker and was a member of COGIC Way of the Cross, Norfolk. She was also Mother of the church. She was a dedicated supporter of Faith Living Ministries.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Yvonne Winslow of Portsmouth and Mrs. Adell Lee of Fremont, Calif.; a brother, Mr. James Robert of Norfolk; grandchildren, Calvin Durham, John Durham, Teress Lee, Priscilla Turner, Christing Wilson, Felicia Durham, Calvin Lee, Vernon Lee, Linda Lee and Lou Parker, all of Portsmouth; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Twilight Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Lewis Hines. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery. The family will be at 908 Godwin St., Portsmouth.
