STEPHEN D. MILLMAN

Stephen David Millman, Ph.D., died Sunday, July 31, 1994, of metastasized melanoma. He was 48.

A native of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Dr. Millman graduated from the University of New York at Buffalo, received his master's degree from the University of Georgia and earned his Ph.D. in college administration at Penn State University.

Dr. Millman had been associate executive director of the state board for community colleges for the State of Maryland for 18 years. He served as vice president of student affairs at the Community College of Baltimore for two years. Most recently, he operated his own retail establishment in Baltimore.

Dr. Millman served with various religious organizations and had been president of Temple Beth Shalom, Arnold, Md. In addition, he was active in the political process and with several civic groups.

Dr. Millman has numerous relatives in the Tidewater area. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Levin Millman, and his son, Judd Garrett Millman. He was also the father of the late Kyle Brenner Millman. His mother-in-law, Goldie Levin, resides in Portsmouth.

Services will be conducted at Temple Beth Shalom, Arnold, Md., on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., with Rabbi Robert Klensin officiating. Contributions may be made to the Kyle Millman Memorial Playground Fund, Temple Beth Shalom, P.O. Box 59, Arnold, Md. 21012.
