Ruth W. Wilson, 74, of Norview Ave., a retired seamstress, died July 26, 1994, in a nursing home.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Walker. She was a Baptist and a member of Larchmont Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson owned and operated The Sewing Corner, located on Maycox Avenue in Norfolk. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Harold G. Wilson, and her daughter, Ruth Ann Wilson.
Survivors include two sons, John R. Shannon Jr. of Platte City, Mo., Robert W. Wilson of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at Larchmont Baptist Church, 1127 Surry Crescent, Norfolk, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. John Dean and Pastor James E. Womble. Friends may join the family at their home following the service.
For all the gifts of love, compassion and kindness, I thank you, Mom, for without these, I would not be the person you hoped and prayed I would become. Thank you for the most precious gifts that I have received.
