John Edward Kramarcy, 77, died July 31, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Kramarcy was born in Lackawanna, N.Y. He had retired from the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant after 21 years of service and retired as a Virginia State Chief Probation and Parole Officer after 21 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. In 1960 he graduated from College of William and Mary, Norfolk Division. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association, Fleet Reserve Association and the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Keely Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Gorey Kramarcy of Norfolk; two daughters, Anne E. Kramarcy of Long Island, N.Y., and Janice K. Perger and her husband, Joseph C. Perger of Williamsburg; a son, Dr. Neal R. Kramarcy and his wife, Barbara B. Kramarcy of Durham, N.C.; three sisters, Helen Rutkowski of Clarence, N.Y., Edna Moroczko of Buffalo, N.Y., and Eleanor Cardamone of Lackawanna, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Fr. Lou Ruoff. Family will be at the church Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. to receive friends. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. A prayer will be said Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church with a procession following to Forest Lawn Cemetery.
