MARY K. MEYER

Mary Kinney Meyer, 60, of the 900 block of Townsend Drive, a nursing supervisor, died July 29, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Meyer was born in Rochester, N.Y., and was employed with Virginia Beach General Hospital. She had worked in nursing for 40 years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, the Liturgical Committee and Social Ministry. She was also active with the Beach Clinic and was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester.

Survivors include her husband, Capt. Donald J. Meyer, USN (Ret.); two daughters, Elizabeth Meyer of Charlottesivlle, Va., and Maureen Fletcher of Provo, Utah; two sons, Paul Meyer of San Francisco and Daniel Meyer of Virginia Beach; a sister, Katherine Rafalko of Timonium, Md.; a brother, John Kinney of McKinney, Texas; and four grandsons, Daniel, John and Joshua Fletcher, and Mackenzie Meyer.

A memorial Mass will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Nicholas Catholic Church by Father James M. Noto. Burial will be at a later date at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. Friends may join the family at the church following the Mass. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Mary Meyer Memorial Nurses Scholarship, c/o Nursing Administration Office, Virginia Beach General Hospital, 1060 First Colonial Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454.
