THE COUNTRY'S A MESS

Thank you for the June 14 and 15 op-ed columns by Don Feder and Cal Thomas, respectively - Mr. Feder on the coming religion-free workplace courtesy of Bill Clinton; Mr. Thomas on the religious right vs. the pagan left.

Mr. Feder's column made me angry that we've allowed our great country to come to this. Tell me we can't wear our crosses and can't engage in any ``God talk'' in the workplace, and we'll each see the government in court.

We, the ``religious right'' (one of several derogatory terms used these days to describe sincere Christians), are constantly being slam-dunked by bigots, including public officials. Secular elites succeeded in banning prayer and Bible reading from our public schools. For the past three decades, the educational record of American schools, and our society as a whole, has been rapid decline, moral rot and violence.

It's time for Christians and every other moral, ethical person to be heard, to do everything we can to repair the moral underpinnings of this nation and stop the snatching away of our most precious freedoms.
