James C. Barnes, Sr., of the 3600 block of Killam Avenue died July 31, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Barnes, a native of Elm City, North Carolina, was a faithful and much respected employee of Haynes Furniture Company for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Harmon Barnes.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Howard Byrd Purvis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be taken to the church at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Friends may join the family at the residence.
