R.D. ``BOBBY'' LASSITER

Robert (Bobby) Douglas Lassiter, 60, of 319 Edward Avenue, died August 2, 1994, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Nansemond County, he was the son of the late Eugene Riddick Lassiter and Hettie Daughtrey Lassiter. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman E. Lassiter of Lexington.

Mr. Lassiter had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, the Nansemond Masonic Lodge (NU)77. He was past master of Hiram Lodge (NU)340.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Felts Lassiter; his daughter, Lisa L. Cherry of Suffolk; two special children, Jessica Maria Twiford and Tiffany Annette Twiford of Suffolk; three sisters, Alma L. O'Berry of Wakefield, Margaret Lux of Suffolk, Jean Pauli of Richmond; one brother, Joseph Harold Lassiter of Portsmouth.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the R.W. Baker & Company Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel J. Campbell. Burial will be in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Company Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
