Granison Cooper Jr., of the 2800 block of Waverly Way, (NU)10, a retired pipe layer, died Aug. 1, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Cooper was born in Florence, S.C. He retired from VEPCO, was a member of New Hope COGIC, the Bible Class and Calvary Tower Bible Class. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen White of Akron, Ohio; three sons, Anthony Moore and Norman and Richard Cooper, all of Norfolk; four sisters, Annie Scott, Lelia Smith, Louise Peoples and Thelma Scott, all of Florence, S.C.; four brothers, Willie Cooper of Shelton, Conn., and Otis Cooper and Edward and David Cooper, all of Florence, S.C.; two grandchildren; an adopted family, Evelyn Minnicks, Betty White, Jessie Jordan, Michael Jordan and Barbara Mussen, all of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope COGIC by the Rev. Herman Clark. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be sent to Smith Funeral Home, Florence, S.C., for burial. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
